The Enchanting Tale of Mohini, Surya Dev, and the Divine Birth of Shrimati Radha

The Enchanting Tale of Mohini, Surya Dev, and the Divine Birth of Shrimati Radha

when Vishnu took the Mohini avatar, all the 33 koti were attracted to her except Surya dev. While other gods wanted a spouse like Mohini, Surya dev wanted a daughter like Mohini. This thought of Suryadev pleased Lord Vishnu, and thus he granted him (suryadev) a boon that he'll have a daughter who can even attract the Mohini.

Thus, during the dwapar yuga, Shrimati Radha was born to Vrishbhanu Maharaj (actually Vrishbhanu Maharaj is Suryadev himself, when Vishnu took avatar as Krishn, all the demigod also took different avatar to help Krishna) of Barsana.

Mohini who attracted 33 koti devta, got attracted to our Karunamayi Shri Radha!
